The Code Tool allows larger programs to be displayed and discussed. Code Tools display a real Java program in the top of its window and a small exposition panel in the bottom. Like expositions, these activities use narration illustrated with text, pictures, and animations to explain a concept. The explanation is linked with specific parts of the Java program displayed in the top portion of the window. You can pause the narration and browse through the Java program in the Code Tool window to get a thorough understanding of some point, then continue with the narration. ProgramLive also allows access to the Java program. This allows you the flexibility of being able to manipulate the program in your own IDE.
