Data Desk 6.1 Updater Bug Fixes
This includes all bug fixes as of March 11, 1999.
- Printing problems on PostScript printers has been fixed. (Windows)
- Implemented new code that fixes printing problems on Windows.
- Corrected problem with the scrollbar in the add-in for Excel.
- Corrected printing problem found after editing variables.
- Accented characters are now supported when importing them or typing them in dialogs.
- Control-p to print and Control-q to exit now work properly on Windows.
- Fixed problem of resizing graphs and plots by dropping an icon of another plot directly over the plot/graph that you would like to change.
- Corrected conflict with Dvorak keyboards.
- Corkboards are only relocated, not resized when opening a window in a location where you cannot see the title bar.
- Fixes problem involving Mac OS 8.5 and hierarchical HyperView menus.
- No longer crashes when nesting one discrete and one continuous factor.
- Windows version now translates keydown characters that are created using Alt-number-number-number.
- The action command Loop, While and Repeat will now work properly even if the body is empty.
- When editing an icon name the Clear command in the Edit menu now works.
- Logistic Regression in Data Desk now gives the correct degrees of freedom in the presence of missing values.
- Fixes calculation errors involved in the Wilcoxon and Mann Whitney operations.
- Calculates the correct cumulative counts for Bar Charts.
- Clean datafile now detects orphan relations.
- Fixes a problem involving derived variables that included missing values that would then be smoothed and then computed. Instead of reporting a missing value, Data Desk would report a zero.
- Now displays an appropriate error message when an attempt is made to assign a hot selector to a hot relation. (Mac/Win)
- Fixes a problem that caused the program to crash when sliders were moved to very negative values. (Win)
- Fixes a problem that caused the program to crash when files with certain ANOVA results tables were converted from Mac to Windows. (Mac/Win)
- Fixes a problem that caused the program to crash when derived variable expressions had a very large number of arguments. (Mac)
- Fixes a problem that caused the program to print points outside of the axes. These points were hidden on the display. (Win)
- Made some changes to the Minimize command to make it more efficient. (Mac/Win)
- Fixes a problem with the plot scale command that sometimes caused the plot to be scaled to values different than those that were input.
- Fixes a problem that caused sliders to stick when the slider had been assigned a missing value. This problem would have been seen in the Custom Nonlinear Model template. (Win)
- Fixes a problem with rounding of chi-squared value in frequency tables. (Mac/Win)
- Fixes a problem that occasionally caused a dragged icon to be placed too far left by one position in windows that hold icons. (Mac/Win)
- Fixes a problem that did not allow text variables to be appended to an action variable. (Mac/Win)
- Fixes a problem when importing files that had both an open slide and other open windows. Only the slide would open when the file was imported. (Mac/Win)
- Fixes problems with the derived variable functions and, or, diff, = and <>. The functions and, or and diff would not work if one argument was a vector and one argument was a scalar. The functions = and <> wouldnt work when the arguments were boolean vectors. (Mac/Win)
- Fixes a problem that caused the program to display a Type 1 error message when the program was inactive for several minutes. (Win)
- Fixes a problem that caused the program to crash when a HotResult variable holding Smoothed values was plotted in a scatterplot overlay. (Mac/Win)
- Fixed a problem that prevented the concatenate command from working with single case variables. (Mac/Win)
